Tami Beckel
Genealogist

Bio

I began researching and building family trees in 2010, combining my passion for historical events with a deep commitment to uncovering the stories behind people and places. Over the years, my research abilities have grown extensively, spanning more than two decades and encompassing genealogy, historical property research, and investigative documentation.

In addition to my work in genealogy, I am a Florida real estate broker and the broker of record for Florida Real Estate Places, LLC, located in beautiful Gulf Gate Estates near Siesta Key. My real estate career began in 1992, and I handle general real estate sales, including vacation homes and stigmatized properties.

Throughout my career, I have also founded and directed several non-profit organizations focused on working with homes that carry a stigma, often due to events that took place in their history or purported paranormal activity. My background in research allows me to approach these properties with professionalism, sensitivity, and thorough documentation, helping clients navigate transactions that require discretion and expertise.

By blending historical research with decades of real estate experience, I offer a distinctive perspective on both family histories and the histories of homes.

I am also an animal lover and advocate, especially for dogs.

Education

Employment

I am now semi-retired from the engineering and real estate industries, where I have spent most of my adult career. I still have a licensed real estate brokerage, Florida Real Estate Places, and I still run several non-profit paranormal teams, Sarasota, Key West, and Ohio State Paranormal Societies,  I love assisting people with their paranormal activity, and I love researching family histories which is why I became a Genealogist.

I studied three years of Business Administration and two years of Drafting and Design for Civil Engineering in Community College. I then completed several genealogical courses and became certified through the "International Institute of Genealogical Studies", which is a trade school for Professional Genealogists.
